Project Overview

In this project, we set out to enhance our manufacturing client's order processing capabilities to accommodate the substantial increase in monthly orders generated by their new business partner. Our primary objectives were:

  1. Automated Data Retrieval: We aimed to establish a seamless process for reading designated XML files from an FTP server each time a new order was placed. This automation ensured timely access to order information without manual intervention.
  2. Optimized Data Management: To improve efficiency and data organization, we designed a system to save purchase order data into separate database tables. This optimized data structure allowed for easier retrieval and analysis.
  3. User-Friendly Web Portal: Our final goal was to develop a user-friendly web portal integrated with our client's ERP system. This portal would enable their staff to access and review order details effortlessly, providing them with real-time insights into their order processing workflow.
